Frontend Interview LinkedIn Experience

Last week I had an interview at LinkedIn, and yesterday I was informed that I didn’t pass. I’ll share my interview experience to help others. It consisted of 7 rounds, including a lunch round.

Overall, the interview experience was good, and the interviewers were very friendly. Since most of the questions in each round were resolved and the interviewers provided positive feedback like “sounds good,” I felt good about it afterwards. However, it’s important to note that “sounds good” doesn’t mean it’s all done. It’s crucial to present a complete thought process, consider corner cases, and proactively suggest optimizations. The final rejection might have been due to the coding round involving writing a calculator not going smoothly. I asked HR twice for feedback but received none, which was quite disappointing. Nevertheless, LinkedIn’s atmosphere is supportive of frontend engineers. It’s okay to move on and keep pushing forward.
