Interview Frontend SWE LinkedIn Help needed

Thank you for reading, I hope to receive more guidance! I am a newcomer who just switched to coding at the beginning of this year. I sent out over 400 resumes from August to September in search of my first internship, but there was no news from top companies. Recently, I finally got the final interview for a Front-End internship at LinkedIn.

Although I haven’t done much Front-End work before, I want to gain internship experience to help with future job searches. I did apply for Software Engineering positions at the same company, but in the end, only the Front-End opportunity came through.

I don’t want to be someone who just takes advantage of opportunities without putting in effort. However, there is limited information available on LinkedIn’s Front-End interview experiences, and I have limited time to prepare (at most 4-5 days). So, I sincerely ask for help from the experienced individuals here on what to expect! Any relevant experiences, recommended books, online courses, or videos for last-minute Front-End preparation would be greatly appreciated.

Here are some key points mentioned in the email that will be assessed:

  1. Assessment of knowledge of Front-End technologies and best practices: This will evaluate various aspects of front-end software development, including semantic HTML, CSS concepts, event binding, API server calls, and accessibility.
  2. Programming Ability: You will need to implement a feature using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to showcase your understanding of DOM manipulation and event binding. This feature might require implementing an algorithm to update the UI. Be prepared to optimize your solution when asked by the interviewer. You should also be able to discuss testing strategies and address edge cases in your solution.

Thank you to those kind enough to read this far, any replies will be greatly appreciated, and I will definitely give back to the community in the future!
