Questions Asked:
Was sent a coding assignment as the next step after the recruiting call.
had to create a repo through my github with the files they had sent me - where I would opens PRs to fix/add whatever features I thought the product needed.
They also asked for me to create a database using postgres if I wanted to. Due to the time constraint and the fact I’m more frontend focused, I decided to just focus on the UI (adding debounce, improving the UI/UX - which was one of the criteria)
I was rejected today , probably due to the fact I didn’t create the database lol.
the recruiter said after the code assignment, there would be 3 30 min interviews and then an onsite in Philadelphia.
These were the tasks:
- Fix any glaring bugs and anti patterns.
- Improve the design UI/UX to make the experience better for prospective patients. We value design heavily at Solace so feel free to flex your skills in this area. The repo is set up with tailwind but feel free to use any styling framework you’d like.
- Consider both frontend and backend performance improvements. Assume we have a database of hundreds of thousands of advocates we need to search through.
The time limit was 2 hours.
